Choose the RS822+ if you want the cheaper, simpler 4-bay unit: it uses a weaker AMD Ryzen V1500B, supports less RAM, and is the model to get if you don’t need built-in 10GbE or SSD cache via M.2. Choose the RS826RP+ if you want the clearly stronger platform: newer/faster CPU, higher RAM ceiling, 4 bays with expansion support, 10GbE built in, and M.2 slots for cache.
