Which should you buy?

Choose the SA3610 if you want a much newer, far faster platform: it has a much stronger CPU, a far higher RAM ceiling, 12 bays with expansion support, built-in 10GbE, and M.2 support. The RS3614xs+ is older and only makes sense if you find it much cheaper; it has a weaker CPU, much lower max RAM, 12 bays with expansion support, 10GbE only on some configurations/add-ons, and no M.2.
