Choose the SA3610 for modern performance: it has a 12-core Xeon CPU, up to 256GB RAM, 12 bays expandable to 36, built-in 10GbE, and M.2 NVMe support. The RS3614xs is older, with a 4-core Xeon, 32GB RAM ceiling, 12 bays expandable to 36, optional 10GbE, and no native M.2 support; choose it only if substantially cheaper or already integrated into your rack.
