Which should you buy?

Choose the RS3413xs+ if you want the clear upgrade: it has a faster Intel Atom C3538 CPU, higher RAM ceiling (up to 32 GB vs 8 GB), and more bays plus expansion support (12 bays with expansion to 16 vs 12 bays with expansion to 24). It also includes 10GbE, while neither model has M.2 slots. The RS3412XS is only worth it if it’s significantly cheaper and your workload is light.
