Choose the RS3412XS if you want the stronger platform: it uses a newer Intel Atom CPU, supports more RAM, and is the better base for growth. The RS3411XS is older and more limited on memory and expansion; the decisive practical difference is that neither is a modern NVMe/M.2 system, so M.2 is not the buying factor here. If 10GbE is required, check the exact installed/available network card support on the unit you’re buying, because that’s usually an add-on rather than the core difference between these two.
