Choose the RS2423+ if you want the lower-cost model: both units use the same CPU class and both top out at the same RAM ceiling, with the same 12 bays and the same expansion path. Both also support 10GbE and M.2 SSD caching.
Pick the RS2423RP+ only if you need redundant power supplies; otherwise there’s no meaningful performance or storage-feature advantage over the RS2423+.
