Choose the RS826+ if you want the newer platform: it has a newer CPU, a higher RAM ceiling, and support for 10GbE plus M.2, which makes it the better long-term pick. Choose the RS1219+ only if it’s significantly cheaper and you do not need those extras; it has the older CPU, lower RAM ceiling, and lacks the newer expansion/features. On storage layout, the RS826+ gives you 8 bays and expansion options, while the RS1219+ is a 4-bay unit with expansion support.
