Choose the DS716+ if you want the stronger box: it uses an Intel Celeron CPU, supports much more RAM, and adds optional expansion plus better performance for apps/transcoding. The DS715 is the lighter-duty choice with a weaker CPU and lower RAM ceiling, and neither model has built-in 10GbE or M.2 support.
