Pick the DS1525+ if you want the stronger long-term platform: it has the newer/faster CPU, higher RAM ceiling, built-in 10GbE, and support for M.2 SSDs, plus a bump in drive/bay expansion headroom over the DS1522+. Choose the DS1522+ only if it’s meaningfully cheaper and you don’t need 10GbE or M.2, because its CPU/RAM limits and expansion options are the weaker side of the comparison.
