Pick the DS114 unless you only need the absolute cheapest basic file box: it has a much faster dual-core CPU, higher RAM ceiling, and two bays instead of one, so it’s the only one with any room to grow. Neither model has 10GbE or M.2, and neither can be expanded with more bays. The DS112J is strictly the weaker single-bay choice for very light use.
