Choose the DS1019+ unless you specifically need the older DS1010+ for legacy reasons. The DS1019+ has a much newer/faster Celeron CPU, 8 GB RAM max vs the DS1010+’s lower ceiling, 5 bays on both but no real expansion advantage for the 1010+, plus the DS1019+ adds dual M.2 NVMe cache support and optional 10GbE via expansion, while the DS1010+ lacks M.2 and is much weaker overall.
