Choose the DS411+ if you want the better-performing unit: it has a faster CPU, more RAM headroom, and supports 10GbE via add-on cards; the plain DS411 is the lower-end model with less upgrade room. Neither has M.2, and both are 4-bay NAS units with no native bay expansion.
