Choose the DS220+ if you want the better CPU, much higher RAM ceiling, and the flexibility to run heavier apps; choose the DS220j only for the cheapest basic file backup/sharing setup. Both are 2-bay units with no expansion, and neither has 10GbE or M.2 support.
